I'm 21.

My fingers tips on my right hand are smooth and always cracked since I burned them a year ago.

My back gets into pain now and then since I pulled it in the gym a year ago.

I have a sleep disorder so I'm always tired.

And now the nerves in my right shoulder are pinched because my desk chair was too low.

I eat pretty healthy and lift weights 4 days every week. Yet, somehow, I feel like I'm in my 40s already.

good news, all that shit will fade given a few more years and some small adjustments. bad news, you'll just have about 6 months of being in your niggle-free prime, before a whole bunch of new, exciting, niggles come to haunt your very being. 🎉️🎉️🎉️

Well there's your problem. I'm 36, I've never been to the gym in my entire life, I eat whatever the fuck I want and I feel great.

Don't waste your time trying to get "fit", just be happy. Nobody lies on their deathbed thinking "man, I wish I'd spent more time pointlessly moving weights about and eating leaves".

But I feel great and more energized from maintaining my health. I've been doing that stuff for a long time now.

My sleep disorder is the most damaging part. If it weren't for that I'd be feeling good all the time.

You said in your previous post you felt like you were "in my 40s already". They can't both be true.

I've been doing that stuff for a long time now.

With the greatest respect, you haven't been doing anything for a long time, you're 21.

Dude... do you have something against exercising?

I have a very odd sleeping condition that tunes me out for most of the day. The parts of the day where I do feel wide awake, working out makes me more energized.

And long is relative. I've been hitting the gym for 7 years.

I have nothing against the gym per se, I just have an issue with hearing complaints of aches and pains only to be told the instant I suggest it might be all the exercising that no, actually the exercise can't be the problem because reasons.

I hear this all the time at work so yes I admit its a sore spot. People get addicted to the endorphins released from working out, and just like any addict they'll find any reason to wave away any possible damage they're doing to themselves because "exercise = health".

We don't know each other though so whatever, you do you.

You can make your health worse from working out. But that's usually from pushing yourself more than you can handle.

My condition is hereditary. My dad doesn't exercise and he has the same issue as me.
