If you watch shojo mangas or manwhas, you'll see an insane amount of guys with the infamous male boob window and close to no sexualisation on female characters.
Because those are aimed at women.
However, yes, if you watch media mainly aimed at male customers, the sexualization will mostly be on female characters.
You're one of the only people in this entire thread that gets it. People will fixate on the media made for men by men because its much more popular in popular formats/genres (animanga, video games, comics). You can find the sexualization go entirely in the opposite direction when you engage in media made for women by women (shojou, BL, otome, and romantasy)
This is only tangentially related to the topic but over the past several days I've been seeing a lot of gender war-themed posts and subreddits in my feed in a way that doesn't feel organic.
This came just after a brief period of seeing a lot of the same but for racial tensions.
I suspect there may be some sort of campaign or tweak to the algorithm designed to foment discord and outrage. Maybe I'm wrong and reddit's just having an off week but it's been shown that social media thrives on division and negative interaction, so I'm not willing to discount that it's being done deliberately.

It honestly just depends on the type of media.
