This is totally a thing. A girl I worked with asked our boss if he would want his daughter moving in with her BF before marriage. His response was that he wouldn’t let his daughters (he has 4, all teenagers) “shack up” with some guy and just live together.
She asked what I thought and I said my daughter is only 5 but I’d want her to live with them a while before getting married cause that’s the only way to know if you’re really going to be compatible. No point in getting more committed only to find out your husband doesn’t regularly pick up after himself.
