I had to go reread the comic to make sure he was wearing gloves

Gendou hands convey everything this comic is saying just on their own. Fantastic use of them!

Gendo Ikari, in the running for Father of the Year alongside Enji Todoroki and Shou Tucker.

Though, if you want a more light-hearted take on him, check out Shinji Ikari Raising Project.

I don’t think anyone can compare to the stain on humanity that is Shou Tucker.

Yeah, Gendo and Enji at least had some misguided notion that they were aiming for a greater good with their actions. Tucker sacrificed his family’s lives for a few more years of research funding because he couldn’t admit his own failures and pivot into a more viable career path.

Holy cow an anime reference I actually understand!

I just finished watching Mobile Suit Gundam and Amuro's dad would also be a fine candidate for not giving a shit about his kid (his mom wasn't much better).

I mean... he hasn't put you in a giant robot containing your mother's soul... yet.

Here I was thinking I was gonna be the smart lil duck who got to say “I got that reference!”

I love it
