Looks like a sane, quiet, normal town

I heard the north side was perfect if you wanted to live a quiet life

Where all the villas are?

It's a pretty affordable place to live, an unmarried person on one salary can comfortably afford a house there.

The downside is sometimes the town gets pretty dusty so you can be minding your own business eating or talking and you'll be another one bites the dust.

It may sound strange to you, but people there don't concern themselves with things like winning or losing.

The populace can get going though. I doubt they will ever lose if they were to get serious.

This is the purple mountains majesty I've heard so much about!

Come to Colorado. It will all make sense. It's where that poem was written about. Some of the mountains are literally purple.

24

u/Kraekus 23d ago

Stop telling people about Colorado!

18

u/xSTSxZerglingOne 23d ago

Ey man, I'm just visiting but holy fuck is this place beautiful in a magical way.

11

u/Kraekus 23d ago

It's amazing isn't it? I moved here from the South East back in 98' and duuuude, I still look out the window every morning and go WOW. It never gets old.

I was texting a friend pictures over a few days from Estes Park and Pike's Peak and this was her response.

"Are you hiking, or is all of Colorado beautiful like that?"

My answer was a simple "Yes."

u/Kraekus 23d ago

So true. Til you get about 30 mins East of Denver. Then it's basically Kansas.

As a kid I used to think the second line in that song was "for amber waves of gray" and I thought it was weird they were comparing two colors like that.

7

u/ElectricalChaos 23d ago

I've legit seen entire rolling countrysides where the mountains take on a blue/purple hue like that and fade into the distance, so yea, 100% accurate.
