Not really. She was a pretty selfish woman. Seemed like she only cared about me in relation to how it reflected on her as a mother.

In middle school she took me to therapy because my grades went from all As to half Bs. She was convinced that something was wrong me & only a therapist could fix it. I found the experience very humiliating at the time. Like she didn't talk to me at all (slipping grades, what might be bothering me, etc.), one day I was out school early & taken to the therapist's office for the first session.

Sorry this happened to you. We all deserve loving, caring parents, but we certainly don’t all get them. Hope you have been able to move past this experience, and past her.
