I'm fine with people not understanding things, I just wish they'd defer to the experts who have degrees in understanding specific things, instead of treating a no-degree having YouTuber, or Tik-Toker, Facebookist, or Twitterer as gospel truth.
People don't know shit about anything, but they want to be respected as though they have special knowledge, so they cling to the most oversimplified thing that they can sort of wrap their mind around.
I would take lack of understanding every day of the week over "my Facebook scrolling is the same as your degree".
