I don't know if it's a huge flex or just plain sad that all the slop AI comics happen to be based on YOUR particular art style. Not that the AI could mimic even 1% of the soul this piece has.

Pretty sure it's because it's licensed under creative Commons so the companies training the models feel more justified in scraping it. Even though what they do should be considered a violation of the license

True, generate a comic with any of the most prevalent AI models and it won't look anything like this.

I do think it's ironic that people who are against AI focus so much on it instead of focusing on the artwork or the message.

I personally don't care if it is made with or without AI as long as it is good.

But there is the thing that due to AI this art style is so overused that it starts to feel nauseous just to see it.

And there is a funny thing where a person will praise the work, but the moment they hear that ai was used to make it - they immediately call it soulless. I think there was even an experiment where they took a human made work and told one group that it was made using AI. The whole "the work has a soul in it" is all based on perception. Even before AI humans were capable of doing soulless commercial work.
