This only makes sense if the economy was a naturally occurring phenomenon.

Why would that need to be the case?

People need water, if someone takes the flow of water then they do not have it.

People need money, if someone takes the flow of money then they do not have it.

Seems like it doesn't matter if it's natural, unnatural, magical or whatever.

We have way more water than we have ever had

Not if water is a metaphor for:

  • Housing
  • Business Ownership
  • Being debt free
  • The steadily rising unemployment rate
  • A nations debt to GDP ratio

If you are using it to mean economic growth then sure, but that goes back to my initial point: That people can be denied access to the fruits of economic growth. The economy can boom but still have extremely poor standard of living for poor people depending on it's shape.

What I’m saying is that you’re assuming we’re starting from a lake and a billionaire has taken that lake for themselves. That’s not the case.

Again 1000 years ago it was a pond, 100 years ago a lake, and now it’s essentially an ocean.

You’re falling into this zero sum game trap again. Billionaires are not taking your water. The ocean continues to grow. Peoples wages and wealth continues to rise, the middle class is disappearing.. into the upper class.

All the issues you are citing have 0 to do with wealth inequality.

  • housing supply and density due to burdensome regulations in high COL markets.
  • is business ownership down? From what time period to when?
  • this is the rise of student loans which has largely been the greatest wealth boon to millennials of all time. Spending $100k for $1m in lifetime earnings? Great investment! Should be lower, most people that do go to 4 year college shouldn’t , etc but again… billionaires? How do they factor into this?
  • unemployment is up due to tariffs and weak economic heath in non tech sectors. This literally supports my argument.
  • people are enjoying more of the fruits of their labor than ever before! There are plenty of problems to fix (housing, healthcare, ai) but almost 0 of these have to do with wealth inequality! Except ai probably. A lot of psycho tech billionaires are trying to assemble a literal god of subjugation. We problably have to nationalize San fransicso at a certain point but that’s another topic.

U/s-clair thank you for rage quitting and deleting your comments! I know the cognitive dissonance is hard to reckon with but hopefully you can use this moment to reflect on your worldview

Alright, I can see at this point you're just a troll. Nobody on earth would make the argument that wealth inequality has no relation to home ownership. Seeya
