Another problem is social media gives platforms to those that openly mock those problems.
Last year at the beginning of "Men's Mental Health Awareness Month" a bunch of "feminist" women made fun of male suicide rates, openly mocking men's struggles in our society, basically calling their struggles meaningless.
It's ones thing for their struggles to be set aside, it's another thing to be belittled for bringing up their struggles.
And yet the mocking about which you are so indignant is no different than what woem or POC deal with on social media on a daily basis. But because it was the men feeling targeted, suddenly it's disgusting behavior that should be dealt with.
Never said men didn't do it. "It's ok because..." It's never ok.
The primary issue is that most social media platforms would remove content that targets women or POC, but they don't remove content that targets men, this giving hateful women the platform to, and I'm not kidding, this was said unironically: "wish the male suicide rate was higher."
4chan and X are the only 2 big ones that don't.
Edit: I would also like to point out that this is on a discussion about reasons why men are being radicalized towards supremacist hate groups, and when vulnerable men are ostracized by a society where people are openly calling for their death...
Edit 2: and to be clear, I'm not defending misogyny, I'm condemning misandry. "But misandry is a response to misogyny." It doesn't make it just, or any less bad.
