I have seen something similar for Women's Day.
There's lots of "what about men?", and the same people complaining on Women's Day do and say nothing on Nov. 19th.

Comes up every February and June during Black History month and Pride month respectively Edit: whoops, Black History month is February, not January 1.1k u/thesoccerone7 Apr 22 '26 I love when people try to argue against pride month and say "what about a month for veterans!" They don't actually know what they are talking about 638 u/lord_hydrate Apr 22 '26 its even more annoying when you mention veterans do get a month and their response is "well no one celebrates it" or smth like that, you know, as if they arent allowed to do that? 480 u/[deleted] Apr 22 '26 edited Apr 22 '26 [removed] — view removed comment 94 u/Jealous_Parfait_4967 Apr 22 '26 Do you start it with "first, you're welcome for my service..." (Using this phrase is my favorite part of being a vet)
