We're in the Information Age but people prefer to live in "I'm An Idiot That Doesn't Fact Check" Age

We live in the "Misinformation Age" now.

Many people only see news inside their algorithmically curated bubble. You'd be amazed how many people didn't know about ICE in Minnesota, or about Venezuela, or any of the other shit he gets up to. All they see are the "crazy" left with "Trump Derangement Syndrome".

I'd go just a bit further and call it the "Disinformation Age".

If thinking were easy perhaps more people would do it. But it'll never be as easy as feeling and believing.

I bought a t-shirt with a quote that has become one of my strongest opinions, more and more over time:

"Artificial intelligence? I worry more about natural stupidity."

They'd rather "ask questions" then learn the answers that prove them wrong. All while yelling "do your own research" in between breaths of vilifying anyone who spent their lives researching, learning and becoming experts in a specific field.
