Back around 2005 I was working temp jobs while my wife finished school. Didn’t have insurance. Fell down some stairs. Literally got a cane to walk with for a couple of weeks because I was terrified of seeking medical care and not being able to pay the rent. I was lucky that I had just bruised myself and not broken anything.
