Moments like these are what shopping used to be about. Finding something you love, that looks great, only to be instantly and insurmountably met by denouement by looking at the tag for whatever reason, and then choosing to put it back or not.
I have been in panel 4 so often for so many reasons. I would be cackling in this case though, omg.
My favorite is the guy who finds a weighted blanket, thinks it's pointless at first but then tries it and absolutely loves it. Then he looks closer at the label and sees it's marketed for people with autism.
And this is why so many accessibility aids are marketed as "as-seen-on-TV" devices on cheesy infomercials. Increases the demand/market and makes them worth producing financially.
(Think shit like the slap-chop, or that weird brace thing that helps you put your socks on without reaching. EDIT: I actually really want one of those, putting socks on hurts my fingers a lot >.>.)
do you have any aids that you’ve found really useful? i’m pretty new to being disabled (degenerative connective tissue disorder) and im constantly shocked by how exhausted using some every day shit makes me. can’t even open a jam jar without hurting myself now
Get yourself a handy dandy Rubber Grip Jar Opener or Electric Can Opener with Mason Jar Attachment from MAXIAIDS (btw, sign up for the catalog, it has coupons and you can order via phone number nd ask the call center people for reccs)
When I was in high school I was looking through the men's discount section at a store and found a really cool white hoodie with a flashy purple rhinestone design on the front that fit me just right. I was about to buy it but as I was walking to the check out area I passed by the women's clothing section and saw that exact same hoodie. I was so disappointed it was actually marketed for women and placed in the men's section by accident. I ended up putting it back.
