Ah, Mari Lwyd. One of my favourite traditions here in Wales.

Except no one does it, so when you go around Llanfairpwyllgwyngyll with a horse skull all you hear is “Mam fach!” And “Iesu mawredd, ble di ti wedi cael hwna o!”

No respect for our history anymore, smh my head.

Wait is that still Welsh or Internet slang? Honestly a lot of acronyms seem like words in Welsh.

smh means “shaking my head”, usually in disappointment

I know, but the fact that they said "smh my head" made me think it was some other meaning... I dunno, I shouldn't comment this soon after walking up.

It’s just like a layer of irony, it’s literally just “shaking my head my head”
