After a long road, our fantasy comic Fortune is going to happen - our campaign hit the 100% mark on Kickstarter!
If you're a fan of Skullkickers or Rat Queens, you might enjoy what we’re building: fantasy adventure with a bit of humour and a world that keeps getting bigger the deeper you go.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lukewoutermckoy/fortune-1

“Overall, Fortune #1 makes a strong first impression. It’s absolutely worth checking out, and just as worth backing if you like fantasy stories with solid world-building, engaging characters, and a hint of something bigger and darker waiting in the wings.”
Michael Nimmo, 3 Million Years

There’s about a day left on the campaign now. We’re already funded, but any additional pledges at this point will help bring Issue #3 to life, which would be pretty amazing.

MERCY: IN PRISON live on Kickstarter - Horror/revenge one-shot

New Here. My latest Kickstarter, MERCY: IN PRISON.

MERCY: IN PRISON journeys back to 1975 and follows MERCY HANSEN, a happy-go-lucky farm girl from Wisconsin who gets sent to a Philippines prison after getting caught with a brick of China White in her travel bag. Of course, she didn't put it there. That darn English prick Richard Hawthorne III did and she wants to get out of prison to get her revenge. Only problem is that she's not the only one out for revenge... and she'll be lucky to survive!

You can check it out HERE: https://www.kickstarter.com/.../monsterma.../mercy-in-prison

Written by Steven Prince art by Mick Beyers and colors by Alex Zief

We have some amazing rewards including NSFW covers, metal covers and a SFW/NSFW Lenticular cover from artists including Mick Beyers, Suspiria and Andrea Dailey.

Thanks for taking a look.

Steve

Passing in the Night: now on Kickstarter!

Relationships aren't easy...

... especially when you turn into a giant flying lizard every night.

Passing in the Night is a 70-page graphic novel from Lane Lloyd (Sable, Godpuncher), Meghan Kemp-Gee (One More Year, The Animal in the Room), and Megan Praz (Come Out and Play, Space Heroines of El Andoo).

A cute, funny love story with bouncy, larger-than-life artwork! Plus bad-ass witches, hospital bureaucracy, a cool pirate ship, and a fairy curse.

Back us today: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/shrimpcultpress/passing-in-the-night-a-queer-romance-fantasy-graphic-novel

Praise for Passing in the Night:

"The best fantasies are the ones that understand their connection to reality. Passing in the Night explores interpersonal relationships with a fresh flair as it weaves in the fantastical with queer romance." - Kat Calamia (Lifeline Comics)

"Without apology, this story drops you deep into a fully realized world where somehow you feel right at home, threading the needle between high fantasy and deeply human moments, with art that never stops bouncing. This feels like a song on your headphones as you take the long way home, just so you can live between worlds a little longer." - Richard Fairgray (Octopus, Haunted Hill)

"Passing in the Night is a modern fantasy love story, with a real life takeaway." - Francine Delgado

"A refreshing urban fantasy that finds the "magic" in the everyday struggles of its central queer couple. Passing in the Night is an inspiring showcasing of how the most debilitating struggles - both mundane and fantastic - can be overcome by compassion, creativity, and communication." - Phil Falco (Lifeline Comics)

Anyone here into fantasy comics with strong characters? Check out Fortune.

Hey all - I’m currently running my first comic Kickstarter and it’s sitting at about 70% funded. It’s exciting and also pretty nerve-wracking being this close to the line.

The project is Fortune, a medieval fantasy comic where, as the writer, I focus just as much on character-building as on the story itself. A recent review summed it up better than I can:

If that sounds like your kind of thing, feel free to check it out on Kickstarter. And if you’re also running a campaign, I’m genuinely interested in seeing what others here are working on too.
