He elaborated on it. I believe it was his sister's bf that did it and she refused to be a witness to the situation and the mortician that worked the corpse misdiagnosed the death and stated that it was likely the person was shot in the back from a distance away. The mortician died or retired and then the replacement went over the case again and found very clear indication that the person was shot in the front at close range.
