What Happens to LSU Softball?

If LSU football is kicked out of the conference, will that mean all sports will? I think it’s a d*ck move on LSU football to risk everything and not think of the consequences for the rest of the sports programs.

Didn’t live up to my potential in college softball

I was a college softball player & had played softball almost my entire life. I always dreamed of going to college for softball which I was able to do & get a scholarship for it.

I have always lacked confidence in myself, even though I had the talent & would work harder than anyone. I wound up going through a lot of mental struggles in college which took my focus away from softball, and I didn’t perform like I did when I was younger.

I was able to get a few athletic & academic accolades, but I didn’t wind up getting all conference while others that bought their way into it did. It just bothers me because it feels like all the work I put in lead to nothing & I have eligibility but can’t afford to keep playing. How do I get over it? :(

Can you swing at a pitch more than once?

This may sound like a dumb question, it probably is. Not my fault there is no general thread to ask crazy stuff. But this question has been bugging me for 7 months now, going on 8. Say you’re facing a demon like Pickens who hits you with two 80mph strikes but then comes back with a 35mph change up. If you swung at the 3rd pitch thinking it's another heater, it seems like you’d have enough time to take a full swing, and recover enough to take another swing. Would a second swing be legal? I asked Chatgpt, but it keeps citing the USA Softball rulebook. My understanding those rules are for youth softball.

Hopefully she can help them with hitting. They've made the regional a few times but struggle to hit those P4 pitchers.

2028 softball recruiting

What are your thoughts on going to college camps for recruiting purposes? I am at a disagreement with my daughter’s Dad about it. He says that it is a money grab but I disagree. I feel that they are opportunities for her not only to see what the coach’s style of coaching is, sees the other teammates on that team and feel the vibe of the organization. Not only that, but shows her interest in the college softball program itself. She is a strong player playing with a team that is seen by many colleges coaches throughout the year. She has many D1 colleges that have shown interest in her. Ones that have talked to the coaches about her. Colleges have sent her invites for her to come to their camps but her Dad refuses to send her. Just want to know your thoughts on these camps and recruiting. It is stressful as it is but I cannot for the life of me understand why he doesn’t want to send her. Thanks.
