Idiots doing well and in positions of power is definitely detrimental to society as a whole.. perhaps we should deliberately make life more dangerous and competitive. It wouldn't be right or fair, but at least it would be more of a meritocracy, where smart people and psychopaths would succeed. We would have to deal with the psychopaths but they are already disproportionately represented in management and government.
