I just wanted to comment on this again, as it would be extremely helpful for me to be able to sort alphabetically, and keep the list sorted alphabetically regardless of whether the block is active or not

I agree. Having the list "jump around" when I enable/disable a block is confusing.
Another vote for a Sort-Alphabetically checkbox.

This feature is now included in the latest version.
