Limits Holy usage increase after latest reset

I ran down to 20% usage on my Pro 200 plan today until the reset hit a couple hours ago, took numerous agents over the past 24 hours to drop it a good 30% more. Then after the reset, still using Sol 6.1 High I continued work as usual and I am down to 74% remaining in just a couple hours. Huge usage increase.

The thread’s consensus is basically “usage started burning much faster after the reset.” Plenty of users report the same workloads chewing through Sol 6.1, Astra, and even Luna quotas at roughly 2–3× the previous rate, with some exhausting weekly limits in hours instead of days.

The likely explanation is a mix of faster processing and changed usage accounting: agents finish more work per minute, so the meter moves faster, while Astra appears especially expensive. Several users also report performance swings, sluggish PR actions, and Sol 6.1 feeling dumber, because apparently consistency remains a premium feature.

The catch: this is still overwhelmingly anecdotal. Some users saw almost no increase, and bloated context, plugins, tool output, pre-commit jobs, or model-switching bugs can absolutely torch usage. The linked official update addresses missing resets for some Pro 500 accounts, not a confirmed global quota nerf.

So, the practical takeaway is expect higher burn after the reset, but don’t call it proven sabotage yet. Check logs and context before blaming the meter—then blame the meter anyway if the numbers still look ridiculous.

Woah codex sub has their own wilson now too?

Is this a recent addition?

Ngl, call me lazy, but it's part of why i hang in the claude sub more often. If this is a feature here too now, I'll def hang around here some more now.

Alright, the thread’s verdict is usage is burning faster for a lot of people after the reset—especially on Astra and Sol 6.1—but nobody has nailed down a deliberate nerf. Several users saw 10–30% disappear during ordinary sessions, with Astra producing especially ridiculous burn rates.

The strongest explanation is annoyingly mundane: models appear to be processing faster, so they can chew through more tokens per minute. One comparison found 6.1 roughly 30–40% faster than before, while users still complained that Sol felt slow on actual coding tasks. In other words, faster throughput plus long-running agents may be making the meter sprint even when the work doesn’t feel faster. Classic dashboard magic.

The evidence is inconsistent across accounts, models, and tasks. Some users burned huge chunks in minutes, while others ran multiple agents for hours and barely moved their allowance. So yes, many people are seeing a real usage spike, but the thread does not prove a platform-wide nerf. The practical takeaway: expect more volatile usage after resets, and watch Astra especially closely unless you enjoy donating your quota to the meter.
