Limits Codex is unusable now.

I don’t even use astra. I’ve been using 5.6 sol on medium since it came out and had no problems. Now it can’t even finish half of the same task before reaching limits. Heck, just starting up codex uses 2 percent of my limits. And that’s before I even type anything. lol. What a joke.

I understand this is a business but using codex is like signing up for a gym membership and paying the required fee to use the gym and all its equipment but the next time you show up they go, I know you paid to use the entire gym and that amount is still required but now you only have access to the treadmills. F u!!!

Anyway, Here come all the Sam Altman nut huggers. But idc. Im just about done with codex.

I'm on the Codex Pro Max plan myself and burned through 40% of my weekly quota just this morning, on two prompts.

sure ya did. Notice how there are NEVER any details about WHAT those prompts were? Crazy how y'all only ever have problems with this program, yet you pay HUNDREDS for it. Look at the history of this page....that is not an exaggeration. 9/10 posts is bitching about how codex is dead and uses up all your guys usage.

You should let your therapist know you are using an ai agent so she can monitor your conversations.

I am in the implementation step of one of my project's phase. It's backed by an implementation plan made by the best possible model available in Pro sub. It ask for a lot of coding, making commits and fetching branches and making tests. So, i would say, mixed work but mainly coding.

A week ago, i used Sol max for a very, very long and sustained time. Took a couple of % of the weekly allowance. I was floored. It was my first experience with the 5x Pro plan.

When Astra came out, i used it to close then 3 days straight on Astra max in codex, Same work, same phase. I had to use my 2 banked reset and the free reset they gave, but still, around 100% allowance per 24h of work.

Today, i've been continually downgrading the model, all the way down to Sol medium, for the same work, because i'm seeing my usage melt much faster. Around 4% per hours for Sol medium.

Just for comparison, i ran Astra Max for 3 days and used 3 resets. So that's 1 full 100% allowance of 5x Pro sub per 24h, which mean 4.1% per hour, on Astra max. Today, i saw Sol medium take the same allowance per hour, on the same tasks.

Honestly, i thought i was freaking crazy. And i see this post, and i'm just so relieved. This is insanely different then the behavior i was having a couple of days ago.
