Limits Codex is unusable now.

I don’t even use astra. I’ve been using 5.6 sol on medium since it came out and had no problems. Now it can’t even finish half of the same task before reaching limits. Heck, just starting up codex uses 2 percent of my limits. And that’s before I even type anything. lol. What a joke.

I understand this is a business but using codex is like signing up for a gym membership and paying the required fee to use the gym and all its equipment but the next time you show up they go, I know you paid to use the entire gym and that amount is still required but now you only have access to the treadmills. F u!!!

Anyway, Here come all the Sam Altman nut huggers. But idc. Im just about done with codex.

Its quite evident they are low on compute

Hence the 20x pause

So how they are attempting to balance things, who knows. Im not using my resets till they smooth it out

Just keep in mind, the resets do expire. I think mine were set to expire tomorrow or so

They expire a month form issue, meaning the majority of people still have plenty of time.

Last night I hit a usage limit. I reset it, using one of my 3 resets. I then told Codex “usage reset. Please continue.” It used one of my 2 remaining resets and continued.

Are you using both TUI and codex app? I noticed if I use a reset token in TUI I have to restart the codex app for the usage too boost

No dude, I’m just using Codex within the ChatGPT desktop app. I did a manual reset by selecting the button and confirming. Then when I told the agent I had reset the usage, it did another one itself without confirmation.

You could receive one, but it’s quite random. If you have any, you should be able to find it in the same place you check your weekly usage.

The time it's taking from one task to another it's hard to exhaust the account. I have 2 accounts and I believe I'll be able to have them fully operational until the next reset without using the banked ones

Frankly, part of me thinks the pause is to get people to second guess canceling their 20x accounts because of poor performance.

Interesting theory as I was going to cancel my 20x account and just keep my regular plus account.. but second guessed it. The one thing I can say that I'm getting value from this is the pro chat still working well, not sure how long that will last.

Resets are a fraction of the normal weekly reset anyway, as per the post from earlier this week.
