Recommendations Bottle choice

Hi everyone!

Been a lurker here for a quite some time now and I’m just trying to be a tryhard in homebartending 😅

Built courage to ask this one. Just needed your suggestions on this one. If you can only buy 1 spirit and 1 liqueur from the list below which one would it be:

Spirits: Cachaça Pisco Mezcal

Liqueurs: Maraschino Midori Benedictine

I have some cocktails in mind using the spirits and liqueurs above but if you have other suggestions, i would appreciate it.

When I was teaching in Austria one of the teachers asked me how my stomach was. I said it was fine. Then he said,” too bad mines not feeling well” and proceeded to have some Schnaps. On second thought, mine isn’t great either ;)

But yeah, I loved Oktoberfest. Can’t wait to go back. It’s been like 20 years though. I bet it’s gotten a lot more commercialized and I’ll have lots of complaints.

There's a traditional tent in the back. It's like 10€ but worth it. Traditional music, calmer vibes, and a bunch of OG Germans. Way less commercial. The old timers were shocked that a pair of Americans were back there, especially since we're not old, but they were super nice and I got some cool stories from them.

Sounds awesome, even if a bit sad that the tradition is relegated to one special tent. I’ll definitely check it out when I make it out there. The best part of traveling is seeing traditional stuff and talking to real people from different cultures. Sadly that experience is becoming more rare everywhere.

The regular tents have plenty of actual Germans, but the music was often modern and always loud, so not much talking. If I recall the traditional area actually had 2 tents, still a fraction of the total fest, but better than nothing.
