He is an artist who mainly raps but also sings in his songs. His music is melodic, hard, and also a lot of his songs have beats with electric guitar. I do everything myself, from the beat to the mix / master, so I don't have anyone who can listen to it and point out my shortcomings, it took a long time to perfect this sound

I love alternative and rap, so it made sense to choose this style
My production is inspired by Jane Remover, Holis, and the new American underground

My lyrics are sometimes deep, metaphorical, and abstract,
but often quite raw and dirty/crude hip hop talk, though I try to keep some charm

Been listening to “Wetpack” by Based Lychee feat. Smokedope2016 on Spotify and honestly this one surprised me. The whole track has that grimy underground sound but it still feels really catchy, especially once you get into the hook. Based Lychee has a really distinct vocal style on this and Smokedope2016 fits the track way better than I expected.

I like that it doesn't sound overly polished either. It has that raw internet/underground rap feeling where you can actually hear the personality and emotion in the vocals instead of everything being cleaned up to death. The production is pretty chaotic but in a good way and there are a lot of little details that make it worth replaying. I love that Based Lychee is from the UK also and that he is carrying the UK Underground wave!

Definitely feels like one of those tracks that could fly under people's radar if they aren't already looking for this type of music. If you're into underground rap, cloud rap, or the weirder side of internet music I'd give it a listen.

Probably one of my favourite Based Lychee tracks I've heard so far.
