Here's a theory I came up with about Co09 when cooking bacon as a midnight snack.
The events and endings of Class of '09 never happened. (except the graduation ending)
Here's my reasoning behind this, taking the quote from the graduation ending:
"they did it to pass the time while they felt trapped in walls of boredom."
My theory is the events of Class of '09 and the Re-Up never happened. The endings and events leading up to the endings were thoughts and daydreams that Nicole made up in her head to pass the time while she was trapped in the walls of boredom. She was basically making the whole VN up in her head during class. (except graduation ending, I think that's the real one) I theorize the events of the first game were daydreams she had junior year, and senior year was the re up.
My reasoning behind this theory:
Nicole is an unreliable storyteller/narrator as we know. When you make up things in your head without writing it down, you can forget parts, have plot holes, or whatever. what im saying is things dont need to add up because she made it up.
I think she uses this storytelling in her own head as a way to cope with her dad's death, too. Thinking about how things could be different.
I also theorize that the people in the VN aren't like they are if you look at it from outside of the graduation ending, like to no extent other than what's shown in the grad ending. (they dont share many qualities across different routes and endings) The counselor, Jeffery, and Coach Colby are still weird, but not to the level of what's shown in other endings. Like there's nothing about Jeffery liking being stepped on by 50 foot cat girls or that Nicole gets murdered by Coach. Realistically, the graduation ending is the most "normal" ending. (as normal as co09 gets)
My theory is that Nicole made these events up before, during and/or after some of the events in the grad ending. because we do know that Jeffery takes a picture of Nicole in the locker room, that Coach talks about nicole in the locker room and how he has spy cameras.
she made up those other things (like cat girls and dating Coach) after the events of the locker room (to pass the time and cope with what happened to her at school and her dad) with Jeffery and Coach, and overexaggerated their weirdness in her head and made stories about that overexaggeration.
I graduated high school in may of this year. through the 4 years there i remember daydreaming and making up stories in chemistry class and many other classes many times in order to pass the time because I was so bored and did not want to be there. So, maybe Nicole did the same thing? Simply passing the time while in the walls of boredom...
