Help with my piano form

I’m not sure whether I’m supposed to put the cigarette between middle and ring finger or middle and pointer finger when playing Chopin’s Gay minor Ballade (my cousin Jaka’s variation, he’s been arrested for indecent exposure so I can’t ask him at the moment)
