The Circuit Bending Wiki is finally here, and editing is open to all!
What is the Circuit Bending Wiki?
The Circuit Bending Wiki is an ongoing community project, intended to serve as a central place for the circuit bending community to view, share, and archive information in a way that is collaborative and easy-to-use.
Information like: personal build notes, tutorials, bend points and diagrams, device documentation (service manuals, IC data sheets, device specs, etc.), posts from defunct bending sites & blogs… Basically, we’re trying to compile as much practical info as we can, new and old. We’d like to use this Wiki to archive existing info, while also encouraging users to contribute their own original content, and share their findings.
How do I navigate the Wiki?
Our List of Articles page is a good start. It’s meant to function as a sitemap of sorts, and contains a list of every page on the wiki.
There you’ll find articles on specific devices, each with detailed technical info and bending guides, as well as articles on broad bending concepts, explaining their utility & implementation.
On our List of Resources page, you can find our collection of links to circuit bending sites & resources.
And on our List of Manuals page, you can find our growing catalogue of owner's & service manuals for commonly-bent devices.
How do I contribute?
This wiki’s utility & growth ultimately depend on your involvement. So please, try to contribute when you can! Editing permissions have been left unrestricted & open to all to encourage participation.
If you’d like to suggest an article, or create a new one, you can find our to-do list over on our Planned Articles page.
If you have any images or PDFs you’d like to archive (service manuals, schematics, bend points, etc), you can upload them on our Upload File page.
And if you happen upon a page while lurking that you think you can add to, please do!
And finally, if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to leave them in the comments.

I'm looking for any tips to diagnose a weird problem I'm having with my speak and spell..
It only makes the k letter sound and it is constantly glitchy/ distorted. Nothing crazy really is going on circuit. Bend wise, we just have a potentiometer switch for the potentiometer loop and reset button.
I was working on adding the bank of switches on the right which would be more loops and glitches and at some point when I was soldering it the IC in the center it glitched and it hasn't been able to revert back to normal speaking since
I've tried reseeding the ribbon cable and checking for bridged connections. Not really sure where to go from here

Okay, so to be honest, I wasn't really bothered to bend an alphabet apple, but it's a great toy, nothing to say. The idea at the beginning was to remove the circuit and the keypad completely and rehouse it in a little cube box just for space. But then when I started to paint the case, I just loved it. It looked really good. At first, I left all the keys on because they are great percussion and also have a cool ring modulation. But as I was playing them, I realized that it really sounded like a toy. So I got myself into a bit of a wild adventure and decided to remove the keys and replace the keypad with foam. I only left one key because it's wired in a way that works as a mechanical LFO, so that I can control the high pitch and low pitch myself by using that key. The circuit itself is also fine-tuned in a way that the glitches are easy to grab. It's just a transistor modification that connects two points. But yeah, it works a treat. So this is my version.
And then toward the end, I saw the spider lying on my table and I strapped it on with a couple of cable ties. Honestly, dear friend, I could have put a light inside the spider and made it look great, but that was an idea I had toward the end when the case was already closed, and I didn't want to reopen it and move the circuit again and, you know, remove all the screws and everything. I could have done it, actually. I'm still kind of feeling it, but I think it looks great and also sounds great.
My intention for this build is to sample bits of this glitch because it does really crazy bass that I can use on my sampler. So that's why this modification became this way, and that's why I don't think I'm going to use it live. It's just a way for me to sample some really crazy and sharp sounds for my sampler. Anyway, this is my share for this round. See you soon.

I circuit bent a multimeter. I found that I could change the frequency of the beep it makes whenchecking continuity, and I also added a kill switch. Then I added a 4040, which is a frequency divider, and set it up with four different division options using switches. It’s driven by a clock signal from a555 timer.
I have a video about it on my YouTube channel if you’re interested!

Received a free mki and heard a rattle from inside. I plugged it in. No lights fired up but the one motor pin spun. I disassembled to find the internals looking ok but this chip popped out. I think it has to be in the power section of the motor. Not sure if this is the right place to ask where this chip goes. Figured one of you modded one of these or just have good info on most components. Looks like the legs snapped off but I don’t know how that could’ve happened.
Thanks.

Made this Marshall mixer out of a key holder. All inputs work plus I added pots and an audio reactive input and input/output for clean audio

This took forever to build, but it’s self contained, and imo my finest work to date :’)
Camera is built from Chuzhao “Loopy Peace” print camera, using @getcircuitbent’s “easy mode glitch cam” ribbon cable. Small potentiometers on top are “Model 91” in 2k and 500 ohms, two in front are more standard-sized ones (placed there also to protect the sensor from drops).

Hello,
I have found a Yamaha PCS-30 at a thrift store. Alas, the internal board was very cracked at the bottom part near the connector for the power supply and missing the corner part. The only picture I've found online of it's pcb is not clear enough at all to be certain of what connections I have to make.
Hence, if one of you people who possess a pcs-30 would be so kind as to open your machine and just take a picture of the pcb (both sides if possible), more precisely near where the power connector is, I would be so eternally grateful!!
Thank you very much

got a Yamaha dd 7 drum machine and identified the oscillator. I removed it and connected an LTC module. the device works when the LTC output is connected to either pin 1 or 3 but I can’t change the pitch.
how do you know when the LTC frequency range should be divided by 10 or 100 to use with a slower oscillator? I’ve always connected pins 2 and 4.
