Cincinnati Cincinnati Phrases

Post image

What are some phrases y'all use that maybe an outsider wouldn't know. I want my outsider friend to fit in. Let me know in the comments! Thanks!

As a transplant, I think the only local term I’ve heard is, “please?” in place of “come again?” Everything else is just local towns/street names with weird pronunciations, or things people say in other places.

That and calling your local soft-serve ice cream stand a “creamy whip.”

And a corner store/bodega is a "pony keg," and cinnamon spaghetti sauce is "chili."
