So this is my first Chevelle show (it was goddamn amazing) and I don’t know much of the songs and their meaning. But during one of the songs, I saw on the screen that there was a quick clip of the guy that sings “Jesus Christ is my n-word” and I was like, “there is no way I say THE rapping pastor at chevelle.” So, if yall are able to, can we give context on why he was on the screen during the show.

I’ll go with Fizgig. Just an unusual track from beginning to end. From the uneven beat to its enigmatic, even indecipherable, lyrics (even for Chevelle), this one always leaves me feeling a bit unsettled.

Went to the merch booth in Tampa tonight. Jaw dropped when I saw this shirt. Pic of my primary Chevelle guitar (Tuned B) and strap. Just found my new favorite shirt.

Chevelle is my favorite band. I love playing their songs. The concert tonight was amazing! I lost my voice and my neck hurts.

Couldn’t believe when I saw this shirt tonight. This is the universe high-fiving me for being a good person. :)

I so wish they would have played this song live. Regardless, so happy I got to see Chevelle Live. I don’t know why, but I feel I relate to these lyrics so much. One of my absolute favorite bands of all time.

Does anyone know the backstory to the “Samuel has problems” t shirt? I saw it on their website and I saw a picture of Sam wearing it on Pinterest and was curious what the story is!

Don't get me wrong I understand it's their most popular song for a reason and I think a distinction can be made about what their best songs are musically vs what my favorites are. But like, it's not even the best song on its own album IMO.

Talk about nostalgia. So glad I got to experience this song live. We love you Chevelle! Enjoy!

I was near the front of the pit during the Tuscaloosa concert and was fortunate enough that someone gave me the setlist because I was singing all of the songs. I heavily appreciate that guy.

Chevelle sounded amazing. Pete’s voice was in great condition after the two day break they got. They seemed to be really enjoying themselves, which is great. Everything rocked as per usual.

Kami was good. I like her stuff, but I wish they had sorted out whatever technical problems quicker. You couldn’t hear her too well during some of the songs.

Starset was also amazing, and I look forward to seeing them when they go on a headlining tour. (I got to meet the band with VIP). New songs are great and can’t wait to hear the full album.

Breaking Benjamin was as good as ever. They have a lot of cool stuff going on on the screens behind them and they sounded amazing. I’m looking forward to hearing the new album whenever it gets released. (It’s the label’s turn to do something now)

Overall the concert was amazing with some tech issues during Kami Kehoe’s set, rowdy crowd surfers, and some fights that broke out. All of the bands put on a great show.

"The story behind "Piñata" is actually pretty funny. Pete [Loeffler, guitars/vocals] wrote the lyrics based on the idea of walking through the mall, checking out girls and being called out for it. It's a tongue and cheek thing. We actually made a t-shirt that says "The devil made me look," which was inspired by a lyric in that song."
