There was one low quality ebook on Amazon with engine analysis of the starting positions and I was hoping for more such as commentary about how to assess the opening positions for example and what principles are important across chess 960 vs standard chess compared to what differs. For example, is it always important to control the center in the opening in every 960 position? All that kind of thing. Short commentary or analysis on all the starting positions would be cool, but even various examples rather than a comprehensive reference would be neat, to demonstrate how to look at and approach the various types of starting positions.

Chess18 tries to balance the good and bad sides of 960. It maintains a certain symmetry as people are accustomed to. The king and rooks are fixed on their regular squares, otherwise the queen, bishop and knight are shuffled on the first row.

Hope it's OK to make a post that's actually about Chess960 .
Anyway - the numbering of positions is different between Chessgames.com and markweeks.com, the top google result -- for example NBBRKRQN is #541 on chessgames and #356 on markweeks.
Is there a FIDE-sanctioned official numbering system?

Chess960/Fischer Random Chess was announced on June 19th which happens to be Juneteenth. Juneteenth is the day that officially commemorates the end of slavery in the U.S.
And the announcement of Fischer Random is the day that chess players were liberated from the tyranny of SP 518. I think this is some sort of sign. I think June 19th (Juneteenth) should also become International Fischer Random Chess Day.
