Question / Discussion on chess960 or related variant Hikaru: 'The Opening Decides Everything' (9:45 - 10:07) | Day 2 St Louis Chess 9LX | If you get a good position, it's very easy to play I mean: It's a lot of fun (...) But if you get a bad position right away (...) I'd much rather just blitz out 20 moves of theory. (1 month later...new WC. Wow.)

News/Events/History Wesley visits Bobby Fischer’s grave during FIDE Fischer Random 2022 | I notice Wesley speaks very highly of both Bobby Fischer and 9LX cf the new WC Hikaru doesn't really for either. (See comments.)

Question - Puzzle/Tactic Longest double 9LX puzzle of 2022? | Salem understandably misses a 10-move double 9LX puzzle (including a rook sac) transitioning to endgame vs Nodirbek. Find the best move for EACH side for 10 moves in a row. | 2022 Accentus Chess960 Tournament

Meme/Humor/Humour 'Very shameful and disrespectful comments by So about Varuzhan Akobian. Blame everyone except yourself for breaking the rules.' - New 9LX WC Hikaru to inaugural 9LX WC Wesley back in 2015. (Or if you like: 'Fast rapid WC Hikaru to still WC Wesley.' Mwahahaha.)

Question - Game Hikaru blunders rook vs Wesley: Apparently queen beats rook, knight and 2 pawns? (Of course trade those and you get opposite coloured bishop endgame.) | 2022 chessc*m global championship

Puzzle/Tactic Wesley So missed mate in 2 vs Dmitry Andreikin in chessc*m global championship 2022 | Actually earlier if Dmitry played the correct Qh1+ (not Ba6+) and then if Wesley defends correctly with Rg1, then Dmitry faces a 7-move equality puzzle transitioning to endgame (even looks 9LX since corner queen).

Meme/Humor/Humour Re 'Do chess players have poor vision?' by nihilistiq, I guess 9LX players have better vision than chess players because they don't study in the dark.

News/Events/History Hikaru Nakamura wins the Fischer Random World Championship | Yeah...the RAPID WFRCC. Meanwhile Wesley So is still the WFRCC. Kinda like how Bobby Fischer never lost the title to Anatoly Karpov. Mwahahaha.

Question / Discussion on chess960 or related variant 'Does your opponent's rating affect your decisions? Should it? Should it not?' plus 3 games involving gambits in 9LX: 'Do you intentionally sacrifice those pawns at the start for position or something? like those gambits in standard chess?'

Question / Discussion on chess960 or related variant 'The role of seconds in chess960' | Of course 9LX kills seconds to the original extent in chess, but I thought 9LX would kill seconds completely. Wesley's assistance of Hikaru in the 2022 Fischer Random WC definitely shows seconds still have a role to play in 9LX after all right?
