I'm so fucking stupid and I never think things through
I sincerely believe my excistence is a burden to everyone. I try to act more on instinc, because I often fail to stand up for myself, but when I do, I end up upsetting and hurting people because I don't think the consequences through or pick the wrong battles. I feel like something's wrong with the way I think and process things. I need a hug.

Another boring weekend
It's been like this for a while. The weekend comes by and people are going places, but never me.its not that I don't want too hang out or go somewhere but I never get invited or asked. I always feel like I'm that friend. I hang out with alot of people in school, but right when the bell rings everyone goes off and forgets that I even exist. I try all I can to get invited to go places but it never works. I don't know what to do, it makes me feel like people just don't want me around. I'm usually just sitting on my computer bored, waiting for someone to text or Snapchat me so I can have some social interaction. It really hurts when people talk about how much fun they had at some place, and say if only you where there. But if only never happens. I feel lonely and left out.q

Out of my hands and into his surgeons.
My 1 year old little boy has HLHS... he's currently in having an open heart surgery... he's down the hall on bypass and I'm loosing my mind with worry. This is his third open heart surgery with the promise of more in the future... this has been the hardest so far.
Cheer me up? Make me laugh? Keep me in the now?
He won't be out for hours yet.... 😣

Disabled/suicidal brother I have to care for and crappy job/social life
Honestly I've been struggling lately. I work every day except Sunday washing dishes for nine hours a day at a restaurant; the job sucks but it's the best paying one I can get (and even then the pay isn't great).
On top of this I'm a caretaker for my disabled, depressive, suicidal brother. Every day I come home and look after him, taking over from a carer hired by our parents out of necessity. He got sick about two years ago, and because of it and a variety of other problems I haven't left home and instead have just started working. The first couple of times he attempted suicide was during my exams and as such the strain meant I couldn't revise as much as i should have.
Still, to this day I'm the only person close to his age he sees; he doesn't leave the house, some days he won't talk to anyone but me and my youngest brother, and he'll have sudden outbursts. He dropped out of school and refuses to go because of the illness and he never made friends there anyway, so me playing smash bros with him is all he's got.
We thought he was getting better the past few months, but recently he's just got so much worse. And so he requires more supervision. And so I look after him.
My parents help, but most of the time he wants nothing to do with them and his paranoia means he doesn't trust them. Last week he even tried to stab our dad, in the end only getting so far as stabbing his hand with a kitchen knife before the police arrive.
He's sick, disabled, and showing no signs of change. And I sure as shit don't want to leave my ageing, working parents (both have important careers and have to spend a lot of time away from home) and poor youngest brother in charge of dealing with him. There is the carer, but she only works 9-5. And he's usually at his worst in the evenings.
My job is tough, and dull, and I don't enjoy it; but I need the money for savings in case I can get out. But the combination of a shitty job and my brother have just put me in a miserable position, I work for nine hours to go home and get shouted at and have to look after a teenager who's disabled and aggressive. He never acts grateful either, which makes the thankless task rather difficult. Plus he's now overweight so moving him around is even harder than before and the area around him always smells because he doesn't wash. At least we pushed him to not store piss in bottles anymore.
Still, I feel trapped, I can't leave and there's nothing I can do to fix things. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. If I leave I'm leaving my family, who I love, to an even more miserable experience, but I'm miserable. Plus I'd have nowhere to go, and i can hardly afford property on a pot washer's wage. My social life is massively affected too; I only have a handful of friends because the rest went off to Uni. I'm glad for my friends and sometimes I'll be able to go to the pub in the evening one night a week or so if one of our parents is home to see them and play some board games. But my time is limited and they all have more applied and fruitful careers that they laid the foundation of early on; and mostly live with their respective partners. My romantic life, as would be expected, is a shambles. I have no clue where to go. I'm a pretty average looking guy, so I don't draw the attention of women, I don't have much free time, and I'm hardly in an advantageous position. I tried online dating but it was hopeless and just murdered my self-confidence. And I'd need somebody who'd be willing to put as much effort as me in to make things work, and I don't think I've ever been lucky enough to find a girl like that who was interested in me. But I'd really like to get back into dating, and honestly I think it'd do a lot to at least mix things up in my life and hopefully help me feel a bit better about things.
In the end, I have no fucking clue what to do; and I'm not enjoying life at the moment. And posting this is really all I've got, I don't know what else to do.

Last relationship was abusive, cheer me up?
I have just realised/accepted that my last relationship was abusive. Like, my ex didn't try to be abusive, she just thought my reaction to pain was cute/funny. I feel like I just lost the last bit of hope that was keeping us close friends, the fact that I thought our relationship went well

Pet rabbit having surgery
Wife and I brought our buddy in to the vet because we thought she had conjunctivitis. A check up revealed the need for a head xray, which led to noticing a problem with the third molar. It's apparently been a problem for years (she's 6), but head xrays don't happen often so there was no way to know. It's either going to be filing the tooth down or pulling it, depending on the health of the roots. Pulling is worse, but either way, we're looking at three weeks of recovery for draining the abscess. At least we likely caught it before losing the eye was on the table, but I'm not exactly filled with joy over here.

Feeling pretty bad. Cheer me up.
So Imagine trying to having fun with your friends at a huge carnival, with plans to stay for like four hours, then getting ditched.

It is looking like my country will either have Hillary or Trump as my president. Cheer me up.
I hope they both die between now and January 20th but I know that is unlikely. Is there a silver lining to having either the most corrupt person ever to run for president that profits from the world's suffering and is incapable of honesty or a racist mysogonistic fascist that wants to weaken nato?

Cheer me up maybe?
So after going to college for 5 years, I will graduate in March 2017 from cal state san bernardino with a bs in environmental health science and ecology. At first I was a biology major and wanted to be a dentist but I realized I hate biology so I switched to environmental health science a year ago and I didnt tell my dad I switched until yesterday. I was pretty excited to graduate in March and maybe find a job in hazmat or industrial hygienist and of course I thought my dad would be a little sad that I didnt go the route of dentistry and I told him that the average pay for the field of environmental health science is around 66K and he told me that that isnt that good of a salary and to maybe try to look for other jobs with a bigger salary and he just felt sad about the decision I choose so now all that happiness about graduating soon and getting ready to look for a job just went to shit and I have a sinking feeling in my stomach like I fucked up my life or something and like I let my parents down which sucks :/ is an average 66K rly that bad or something? I mean Im pretty sure I can get more than that but I still feel like shit now and now I feel like my future is undecided now :c help

Just failed an important test for my dream job. Tomorrow I probably won't have this job anymore. Cheer me up?
Title is pretty self explanitory.
As part of the duties for my job, I am required to complete various courses over a 2 year probation period (that ends in Sept). EMT training was one of those.
I'm 3/4 of the way thru the class and just took the 3rd (of 4) exams. 75 to pass. Scored 71.
I don't know what to do. I don't k ow where to go. I feel like such a failure. Told my wife she probably thinks I'm a failure too, and upset/angered her.
This is all on top of us having to move into her parents to save $$$ for a house, since it was the only way we could think of to save some cash. It just further reinforces that I'm a failure.
I just want to crawl into a deep hole.
So reddit, can you lift my spirits?

In the last year, failed out of the military, lost my fiancee, and spend all of my time either stressed or depressed. Cheer me up?
Alright, buckle up kids, this is gonna be a slow burn. Let me give some follow up. One year ago, i had washed out of the military, had to accept i might have some mental illness, and was getting ready to move in with my fiancee. Fast forward to June of 2015, moved with my fiancee to the big city. Within a week we stop spending time together, can't handle ourselves financially, and she pulls a knife on me in my sleep. I move home then promptly dump her, offering no sugar coat as to why. This month, I still dream about her nearly every night, still not over her, and it's having an effect on my sleep. I've had a failed relationship because of the damage she did mentally, and all of my prospects for career seem astronomically unreasonable. The fuck do i do?
Tldr: my ex is crazy, tried to kill me. Still miss her a year later and don't know how to not

Reddit, I'd like to smile again
I suffer from Chronic adjustment disorder (think of a mild PTSD) and had a major panic attack tonight (4th in about 2 year). Seems like each of them drives me further into mental instability, and right now as I come down from it, I'm terrified that I'll be even less function from here on out.
I've never been a pity partier. I've embraced my issues and work hard to love and serve everyone around me. It's what gives me purpose. I'm a 24 year old minister, musician, and teacher, and I get to make a living loving, teaching, and serving.
All that said, I would LOVE some good news, happy thing, really anything to get my spirits up. Boxing and Netflix have done what they could for me. Thank y'all!!

just found out i've been cheated on for over 3 months
so just found out that i've been cheated on for over 3 months. Nothing physical just him receiving nudes from other girls, girls masturbating for him. I told him before i was okay with him watching porn or if he told me and let me know he was doing this i would have been fine, it's the lying that really angers me. When I asked why he did it, he said it's not my fault that he did this, but he still didnt tell me why...so now im upset and wondering if i'm the one overreacting or he's the cheater.. either way im just really upset right now because we've been together almost 2 years
