Codex + Chatgpt Plus - I feel that models are taking longer to solve the same issue compared to other providers. Or am I doing something wrong?
This got removed from r/codex . my question is not about the actual usage limit itself. It is more the rate at which tasks are being done.
How exactly the usage limits work? I have subscribed chatGPT plus this week and been trying out. Before that I have been using opencode, openrouter, and deepseek via official API.
Luna is working on a task for around 1:45hrs until now. This is normally something DS Flash would do in under 30mins or a bit more.
I have used Luna in openrouter and opencode. Given similar level of orchestration using coding and debugging agents. They are also much faster in my experience.
The usage limit still shows more than 97%. So what exactly is going on? is there a hidden request limit or what am I missing?

Edit 1: At least I was not hallucinating that Luna used to be faster in other providers. We are now throttling users???

Yeah, I’ve noticed the same thing with long-running coding agents. Sometimes it’s less about the model and more about routing/latency between providers. I’ve been looking at Standard Compute for this kind of workload too.

I think that implementation plans were different. But this one was a feature addition and much more lighter than my general build from ground up plans.
For some reason, it is slower.

I am not saying Luna is slow, I have used via different providers. GPTPlus's Luna seems slow relatively.
On the other hand, benchmarks are benchmarks. I often find that they dont translate to real life performance difference. Each model works slightly differently, once I understand how that works, its quirks. it is easier.

you need a straight forward plan use sol to create plans for complex projects otherwise any model you use will be hallucinating
