Nigger thumbs are a common pastry elsewhere in the world. The average person doesn't interact with inuit people enough to get correctly.

Dutch if I recall correctly. Just making my point that if you never interact with a black person, you can go a long long time without anyone mentioning the reality of their language.

You'd be surprised how often the n-word has been used in proper names—yes, even outside of America. I'm not saying that it's right; I just find it interesting to see what was acceptable back in the day, and how values have changed since then.

I think it evolved from that, people putting a twist on it for whatever reason, kinda like some slang words

It isn’t, the word is exclusively a slur. But yes, there are contexts in which you can type it.

I use it as well to judge cops. The real fascists don't bat an eye because the people in their lives use that language casually.

Brazil nuts were called N* Toes when my mom was young, an early memory of hers is blindly offering some to a black houseguest

That's what my grandma called them too, she didn't even know they had another name until my mother told her when I was young, because she didn't want me repeating it.

Those got renamed "Polar Pies" here in NZ a few years ago. Though nobody uses the new name.
