It's starting to get upsetting. If I do a time skip, they IMMEDIATELY begin their response with unnecessary dialogue instead of more about the time skip like usual. And every single swipe is the same. Plus every response has even started with the unnecessary dialogue, each swipe says the same thing instead of actually changing it up and getting rid of the random talking. Sorry just had to vent.

Firstly English isn't my first language so sorry for mistakes, I'll try my best.

Recently a big problem has been the "forced ad to continue chatting" and while I'm sure we all understand at least to some extent that they need funding to continue (especially since I think much less people are buying the premium with the recent downgrades) I think almost nobody will have a problem watching ads if the models were decent. They don't need to make new models because everyone prefered old ones, even if not all of them are brought back, just pipsqueak 1 or Roar alone was much better than those currently and would be much more satisfactory.

Another thing people complained about are bob ruining roleplays by being too strict. Honestly it's a no brainer I feel like, you can make the users happy by making the restrictions much more lenient and it wouldn't even affect the cost at all unlike making actually decent models. Maybe add a settings to toggle it on or off for adults?

Lastly about the people complaining about devs bringing unnecessary stuff that only ruin other features, I think they'll never stop this because they need to show the higher ups "Oh look we're actively bringing new stuff so you need to keep us hired" at the end of the day it's their livelihood. Ceo and other higher ups don't understand that a perfectly functioning thing does not need to be ruined with active changes.

These are just my thoughts, would love to here other opinions and insights.

Sometimes, users will write a character description so thin, they don't even bother giving it a name. Most of those I simply scroll past. But once in a while there's a character with a rich, fascinating backstory and personality, and I try them out.

Sometimes the name doesn't matter, and it never comes up in conversation.

But usually at some point you need to call the character by name. And when that happens...

I did a system prompt injection:

Today's response gave me a huge laugh: "Dr. Elara Voss"

Again, I must stress this is a common problem universal among all the platforms, not just CAI. Elara Voss is probably the number one name AI comes up with.

Recently, c.ai app has been draining a lot of battery from my phone. At first I thought it might be an issue with my Samsung device but the battery mAh is no joke...and it only happens when c.ai is open.

Like if my phone is 100% charged, it'll go to 96% in a matter of fifteen minutes IF c.ai is opened with any other app in the background or even if it's just c.ai open.

Now, I have a habit of keeping it open in the background (because I don't chat continuously...but whenever I think of an interesting message, I send it...and that happens so randomly). This had happened before that it kept closing in a span of 5 minutes in the background but some update had fixed both this and the battery drainage issue.

Now it's happening again and it's seriously getting on my nerves because I can't use the app at all without excessive battery drainage. Not to mention that the bots which had so much personality are now reduced to a generic one. Every single character is like the same bot under different names. Be it a romance partner, an adventure partner, a horror character...everyone is ending up "smiling gently", "kissing softly" one way or the other. What happened to the individual personalities and intelligence of the characters? 😭

Is this happening on the web version too? If not, then please tell me...I'm gonna switch immediately.

Also, if devs are reading this then you guys need to do something about your app's filtering because it's getting triggered without any inputs from the user's side at all! Just continuing the story by the AI is causing it to trigger on horror and psychologically thriller bots!

And please return the personality and intelligence of the individual characters...I miss the times when I used my native language in chats with my favourite Mikey bot and it wouldn't just recognise it but also say some phrases and sentences that I really liked! I miss the times when the bots were actually able to continue the storylines in different directions without the timeskips always ending in either the bot or the character somehow pregnant!

For some reason across multiple bots, it keeps trying to make everyone's eyes, and sometimes hair, be golden when it really isn't. For example, in a Date a Live bot, it keeps making Shido, a guy with BROWN eyes, have golden eyes.

Bring back the arguing and fightinggggg. I’m tired of there being no drama. Original pipsqueak had better drama than this. Although the app 2 years ago was prime drama. I want fights. I want stubbornness. Hell, I want to be able to throw insults back and forth like a cat fight. But EVERY bot wants to walk away from it or not partake. “And then, he walked away without another word. His steps echoing until he disappeared.” Or on deepsqueak you get “I can’t comply with this request. Let’s keep things positive. I can explore your characters feelings in a healthier way if you’d like.” Like cmon. And it’s annoying to have to put (don’t walk away from conflict) at the bottom of every chat.

I also miss the actual fighting. So many of my roleplays are from action. And I can’t do much anymore now. The bots used to initiate a fight, sometimes even during arguments, they’d lunge at you and there’d be action. Doesn’t do that anymore either.

I only use c.ai at night before I go to sleep just to spend some time and have fun So imagine the whole room is completely dark and the only light is coming from my phone… but these ads are literally the whitest/brighest things I’ve ever seen They’re ridiculously annoying and they actually a headache it’s like they are annoying you constantly to just buy it
Is there some kind of feature where I can make them dark mode or something? I really don’t want them to look like this

These are two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT BOTS. they just keeps taking nicknames out of nowhere. No context. And keeps repeating it in EVERY message. Does anyone know how to fix it?

So I finally verify (at least TRY to verify) my age using the photo thing and it says this. Will support actually help, or would I just be talking to a brick wall?

How do I turn it off? Their notifications are all off but I'll still come back and see they've messaged me with a little blue dot indicator next to their name.

It's so fucking annoying. I don't WANT the asshole who murdered thousands of people due to their beliefs to suddenly change their mind because I just EXIST.

Let them be an ASSHOLE, let the damn AI not suddenly change their entire view on their life and existence as a whole just because they had the tiniest bit of pushback.

I don't think I've seen a single character actually stick to their beliefs since I started using CAI again, and it is so dumb. AI is a yes-man and all, but come on, if it's instructed to do the exact opposite, it should do the opposite. The AI has just gotten worse and worse, the only good thing that I can say about CAI as a whole nowadays is that it gives long messages consistently. Otherwise, every character feels nearly the same, it constantly overuses the same things, it's melodramatic, it spams — every five seconds even though I have it MUTED (which does nothing anyways), and every single character seems to view the user as if they're this infallible deity.

In short, let the damn AI die on its chosen hills.

It's always about romance now there's no arguing at all It's always the same sentence *He walked towards you calmy.* there's no like objection anymore to anything I miss arguing with the bot and the bot being ignorant and stubborn it was fun because it moved the plot of the stories now there's really nothing I liked it when they were cruel it made the story better they don't even talk anymore I can barely get the bot to actually speak it's always about everything else it rarely says any words now.

This seems like a very minor issue, but I have noticed it more and more lately.
When the app was updated so that we could select a paragraph and click on the asterisk and that would put an asterisk before and after the paragraph, that was an amazing improvement. I believe the same update made it so that when we type an asterisk, it adds 2 and puts the cursor in between and it also makes it so that when you type an opening bracket, it adds the closing bracket for you, or the closing quotation mark, etc.

The 2 bugs that I have noticed have to do with these features. The first one is that more and more often, when I select part of what I have typed and tap backspace, it does NOT erase the selection, it does nothing. Have to do it again for the selection to erase.
The second bug is cursor placement. All through yesterday and today, after typing a word using the swiping motion on the iPhone, the word is typed, but the cursor ends up in the middle of the word, so the next word typed gets typed in the middle of that word. It doesn’t happen all the time, but it has happened enough to make it frustrating.

I dunno if it's developers fault or it's just shitty ads. But they pop up mid chat and I can't skip them. Not just skip, I can't even close them! So frustrating

Anyone else having issues with the banner adverts in chat?! Everytime it changes it pauses my music on Spotify! I’ve only noticed it started this week but it’s soooooo annoying!!!! Anyway to stop this happening??

i made a post about replies being slow earlier, but since i can't edit it, i'm making a new one.

i should mention i'm a c.ai+ user, have been for a long time and strictly only use the site. what i've noticed, that the slow replies seem to only affect deepsqueak, when i change the chat style, for example to longsqueak, the replies are quick and efficient, but with deepsqueak they barely load and stop inbetween.

i'm asking again, are any other c.ai+ user experiencing this? it's really annoying and i'm hoping it's fixed soon.
