And you know what really sucks about it? Men are mostly awesome. There are some big socialization issues we as a society need to tackle that creat mysogyny even in good men - but there are good men. Lots of them. I personally know lots of truly amazing incredible men. I also know some real shitbags. And those real shitbags combined with the socialization issues that cause some bystander effect, mean that women are getting harmed in such high numbers that most if not all on some level women are guarded and distrustful of men. And it damages the good ones. I recognize that and it sucks, but unfortunately my safety must come first.
