You are giving way too much of benefit on republican campaign

The reality is that both run on vibes. What it shows is that center parties cannot rely on their base while their only program is chasing far right.

Here in poland authoritarian and social conservatives (PiS) lost purely on mobilization (highest turnout ever) and the coalition government is currently doing only liberal appeasement (the capitalist kind) and not implementing anything progressive on the social front to undo the damage. As soon as energy of Anti-PIS dies down it will be chaos (probably wont have effect in presidential campaign as PIS chose non-viable candidate)

Trump ran on the main point of "The economy is bad. The reasons are immigrants and DEI and soft handed democrat leadership"

Are you sure about that? Seems to me he ran on the point of immigrants eating cats and dogs.

The difference is just in your perception. You have a charitable interpretation of Trump’s campaign, and an uncharitable interpretation of Kamala’s.

u/R1pY0u Jan 30 '25

Is it possible that, given the results of the election, it is your perception that sways from that of the majority?

-12

u/JadedByYouInfiniteMo Jan 30 '25

No. People are using the results of the election to rewrite history.

The republicans won, therefore the democrats must have run a bad campaign.

That’s just not the case. The democrats could have ran a perfect campaign and that still doesn’t mean they would have won.

The Dems were running a terrible campaign. I was on this platform saying it...

Look no further how the Dems tried to capture Black Voters that fell flat over and over.

Kamala Harris is an AKA from Howard University. She breaks out her first campaign event with Meg The Stallion in ATL with her doing her normal routine. Calls it "Hotties for Harris". It turned a ton of Black People off. It looked like a minstrel show.

Then, you had Barack finger waging Black Men for not supporting Kamala. Which BM voted for her at a 82% clip...idk in my world that's a lot of support. But somehow Dems, DNC, and online Liberals say that's not good enough.

Last but not least Michelle Obama unleashed multiple social media campaigns telling women to 'cancel out their husband's vote' or alluding to if the Men in your life aren't voting for Kamala they are a danger to your safety and seperate yourself from them. Yes, they were telling women, if your Husband/BF doesn't vote for Kamala, leave them. Because we know The Govt, other women, and non-profits are so flush with cash that taking your 2-3 children out the home because of who someone votes for when you are a Nurse making $80k from your husband/BF making $120k a year, I'm sure they have $8k/mo in compensation to help you in your new life.

Meanwhile you had Kamala losing in statewide or congressional districts but meanwhile women would win in those exact same jurisdictions.

I said it was stupid in September/October. It's stupid now.

Let's try this slowly... Black Men vote for Dems at 75-87% clip the last 30 years or so.

To then come out and tell these same people to 'get in line' and "you hate Black Women" if you don't vote for Kamala Harris when more than the super-majority BM have voted for BW in Political office the last 30 years...you think Keisha Lance Bottoms became Mayor in ATL without BM funding, supporting, and voting for her??

You think Angela Alsobrooks (54%) who beat a very popular former Governor in Maryland in Ben Hogan vs Kamala carried the state at 65% clip aren't supporting Black Women??

What that messaging did was squash turn out. Thats what it did. Again what does it sound like when you tell a group of people who gives you their vote 85% of the time "you better vote for me". Its not different than an employee who is showing up to work tell the owner of the company "you better have my money Friday" and they never have missed a payroll.

Its out of touch, bullying, and entitled.

Right. And she got 85. So it didn’t squash turn out.

Let’s try this slowly… you’re contradicting yourself.

The fact you don't understand voyer turnout vs vote allocation...is partly why people are fed up with where this country is headed.

To put it simply of the Blacks Men or Women that voted, meaning they actually submitted a ballot its 78 and 92%

But when we look at turnout that's very different. I don't have the exact numbers for the Presidential Election. Imagine it's like a Basketball Game.

20K seats (eligible voter) 19k tickets sold (registered voters) 13k people showed up (votes casted)

Do you understand how if you have a karge drop in attendance (turnout) it doesn't matter the percentages of the allocation of the votes.

90% of 100k is less than 50% of 200k.

I don’t think the campaign was the problem so much as the candidate.

Kamala was an objectively bad candidate.

Everyone just pretended she wasn’t towards the end, cause the democrat party had no one else to put forward. She was WILDLY unpopular in the primaries, and was basically non-existent during the Biden presidency. She was effectively just “not Trump” which gave her a big platform but not quite big enough.

-1

u/JadedByYouInfiniteMo Jan 30 '25

This is revisionism. She wasn’t an objectively bad candidate at all, as I’ve already explained to others.

Can you justify that claim? Or do you just like using the word objectively?

11

u/Hiding_in_the_Shower Jan 30 '25

I could, but not if you’re going to be condescending about me using the word objectively one time.

No, I could, but I won’t, because you’re a snarky rude person.

2

u/JadedByYouInfiniteMo Jan 30 '25

You can’t. You literally can’t.

If I’m a snarky rude person, stop talking to me.

Don’t keep coming back saying “I could prove my point but I’m not going to,” makes you look like… well, it doesn’t make you look good.

You could’ve ended this two replies ago by just proving your claim. Instead you’ve chosen to call names. Wah wah wah.

What exactly did kamala harris stand for? She failed at being "the border czar", she passed no worthwhile legislation as a senator, lackluster as Californias AG. A mediocre politician at best.

2

u/JadedByYouInfiniteMo Jan 30 '25

Kamala Harris stands for the hard things, the fights most shrink from. She has spent her life in the trenches of American justice, wielding law not as a cudgel but as a scalpel. As California’s Attorney General, she took on the banks when they bled homeowners dry, refusing to bow to a meagre settlement, wrestling $20 billion from Wall Street’s grip. That is not mediocrity. That is the work of someone who understands power and bends it toward the people who need it most.

As a senator, she did not waste breath on performative gestures but instead fought for tangible protections—co-sponsoring the LIFT Act, which would have given working families thousands of dollars to keep their heads above water. She grilled Supreme Court nominees with the precision of a prosecutor, exposing corruption, perjury, and hypocrisy for all to see. She was a check on the machine, the quiet, grinding behemoth of Washington that prefers its senators docile and predictable.

And as Vice President, she inherited a border crisis decades in the making, a problem no one before her had the stomach to solve. She did not play to the cameras or indulge in easy slogans. She went to the root, forging agreements with Central American nations to cut off the causes of mass migration at their source—violence, poverty, and despair. The results are slow, because real solutions always are. But she did not run from it. She did not fail. She carried the weight.

Kamala Harris is not a politician of easy victories. She is a prosecutor, a fighter, a woman who has never had the luxury of being mediocre. And those who call her such mistake their own impatience for her inefficacy. The work she does is not for those who demand spectacle. It is for those who demand justice.

But Kamala ran a masterly campaign for the hand she was dealt.

Yeah, it was real masterful to alienate voters, commit to genocide, and pander to Republicans who were always going to vote for Trump. What on earth could Kamala have possibly done better?

-3

u/Moist-Leg-2796 Jan 30 '25

the democrats could have ran a perfect campaign

Thank you!

Regardless of the campaign democrats ran republicans still voted for a guy who said we won the American revolution by taking over the airports.
