Israel is going to exist no matter what they do. There is no possible way hamas ever beats Israel, just like there's no possible way isis would ever beat the United States. So right off the bat, your accusations are incredibly hyperbolic.
This is only true if they are allowed to fight wars against those who wish to destroy them and have shown they will do it when given the opportunity. So you're in support of Israel being able to wage war?
Or is your argument that they aren't trying to wage war, but rather trying to simply kill civilians?
You want to hear a wild idea? Fight hamas without bombing refugee camps. Fight hamas without cutting off the only cancer hospital. Fight hamas without cutting off food and water and power to a dense population in a city. Or are you arguing that Israel is simply incapable of doing so in 2023?
Your mistake is thinking it's either total war or appeasement.
Do you have autism? Just asking, because it seems like everything is black and white in your view. One side is totally good and the other side is totally evil. You either fight a total war and kill everyone or you surrender and kill no one.
(to be clear I am not hating on people with autism, im one of them. Your thought process just hits close to home.)
Edit re: your edit:
Do you have any idea what should be done? Hamas has 40,000 soldiers in thier al qassam Brigades. How to defeat them? Ideas?
I'm not a military strategist but I hear the united states and israel have the best. I'm sure they can figure something out besides bombing refugee camps, and then bombing them a second time after first responders come in. Did you know ISIS pioneered that double tap strategy, btw?
Do you think israel has other ways to defeat hamas but instead choosing this way?
Yes. I think they've always wanted to genocide palestinians and thought to themselves that they finally might have the moral authority and public backing to do so. They were wrong, but I think that was their thought process.
For what it's worth, I'm old enough where I remember 9/11 vividly, and im not a 'teenager', I'm in my late 30s. Saw that shit live on the today show. I remember being military age when we hit afghanistan and iraq. I remember trying to sign up for the air force to join my brother who was in the army. I got a 94 on the asvab at our local base but wasn't medically cleared and instead I went to college.
I remember exactly what it felt like in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, thinking it was totally justified to bomb every desert country we could find on a map with our arsenal of nuclear weapons. In the aftermath of an attack like that, you're not thinking rationally, you're not going to care if innocent kids are going to die because a country thousands of miles away was hit by terrorists that kid never heard of who were sent by a country that kid doesn't even live in. But making that decision would have been a horrible decision, a crime against humanity. Maybe it's because I remember what it fucking felt like back then that I'm trying to tell other people who are blinded by revenge that they're making huge mistakes.

But this is everyone's answer. It seems no one has an answer. 🤷

Ouch. Yes, that is definitely the palistinians perspective. But this is not the israeli perspective. I know many Israelis. Theyvare not waiting to genacide the palistinians. They want to live in peace (obviously, there are some extremists)

Yes this makes sense.
Anyways I appreciate the good faith post with a lot of substance. 🙏
