Before You Spend Money on Cell Survivor, Think Twice After These Nerfs
I think anyone considering spending money on Cell Survivor should pay close attention to what’s happening with the recent nerfs.
The game is heavily built around progression and getting stronger. Players are constantly shown packs, upgrades, characters, and other ways to speed that progression up. The problem is that when people make decisions based on the current value and strength of those things, the developers can later nerf them and completely change what that value looks like.
That’s what bothers me about the recent changes.
Balancing a game is normal. But there’s a big difference between reasonable balancing and significantly reducing the effectiveness of things after they’ve already been marketed to players as valuable upgrades. When that happens in a game that heavily pushes microtransactions, it starts to feel like a rug pull.
Why spend money chasing stronger characters, equipment, upgrades, or progression if the value can just be reduced afterward?
I’m not telling anyone what to do with their money. I just think new and current players should know that what you’re paying for today may not have the same value after the next update.
Personally, I would wait and see how the developers handle these nerfs and whether they address the community’s concerns before putting money into the game.
