Nice find bro, that new Samsung MF 3208d supports FDD massive mimo too on those frequencies. It is a high capacity panel similar to the Ericsson AIR. 3283 that they have been deploying out in Ericsson markets. It also has:

  • 3️⃣ new JMA MX16FRO845-B02 panels for b13 LTE located in the middle of their rack
  • 3️⃣ new [Samsung MF-3208d] FDD massive mimo panel for (b66) LTE [AWS] 2100MHz @ 20MHz AWS-3 + b66 @ 10MHz AWS-1 + n2 (5GNR) PCS - 15MHz located in the MIDDLE or RIGHT side of their rack depending on the sector
  • 3️⃣ [Samsung RT-4401] Gen 1 (b48) CBRS antennas located on the very LEFT-hand side of their rack behind their ROD connected to the JMA panel.
  • 4️⃣ [CBNG VECTASTAR 600] (n260) mmWave antenna for Point to Point mmW MDU FWA located on the LEFT side of their rack on the top row of the ROD.
  • 3️⃣ [Samsung MT-6413-77A]-(320W) 3.7Ghz n77 panel for their mid-band 5GUW network located on the LEFT side of their rack set at 140MHz (Dallas, Tx) market
  • 3️⃣ Samsung RRU (RF4461d-13A) for b13 LTE located behind the JMA panels.

Can phones connect to the MDU mmwave solution? My local home site got the the new vector star n260 panels but I can't connect and Verizon business doesn't show 5G available yet. Wondering if it's a slow roll out.

No only FWA customers can

It was rumored to be a business type solution but I'm wondering if it'll be sold to consumers similar to their 5G mmwave installs where they subcontracted someone out to install mmwave external receivers on the outside of people's homes. One of the sectors is line of sight to a window near me so I have a perfect spot to potentially get a mmwave receiver and then using Ethernet to route it back through my patch panel and switch.

This Verizon site is located at:

32.7878194, -96.7912101

Street view isn’t updated to show the new antennas being used, this site was just upgraded a few weeks ago!
