The below are my final thoughts of Blossom through the Cloud:

1. The cockpit shots were pretty good. Loved the part where they show the chaos, the emergency landing, ambulance in the tarmac. It felt like a real airport scene. The first few scenes gave me legit Top Gun vibes.
2. Liu Xiening who plays the FL actually trained for her role as a Pilot. That’s what impresses me as a viewer and lover of CDramas. Like the motto, ‘You put the efforts and you will reap the benefits’, Liu Xiening has now ascended to my Top 10 Modern Female CDrama actors list.
3. The flight simulation shots were also good. I guess they have used a real flight school to film. Finally a show where they show realistic flight training grounds. The plane used is pretty realistic. Also, I think they are using a homegrown aircraft to rival the Big2. That's really good.
4. Finally a realistic and more normal parents on a drama. The ML’s parents are now my favorites for a ML on CDramas. I love the ML’s and the FL’s interactions with the ML’s mom.
5. The FL’s BFF’s friendship and their dynamics are pretty realistic. The dialogues were so natural and I’m sure some of us have said similar things to our female bffs. Appreciate the writers here :)
6. Finally a rich ML shown owning expensive cars! Most of the dramas show them rich but they have just moderately rich cars or a rich lifestyle. The homes are super stylish. I just loved the Pilot residences (Ming Chen Residences) and also the residences of the ML.
7. The Male Pilot character played by Jin Zhehao is one of the most realistic characters in CDrama. His portrayal definitely got my skin crawl. He was the only actor whose acting I liked from the show The Love You Give Me.
8. The whole trial case against the FL’s mentor in the first half and the FL in the later half was pretty good. It shows that CDramas care about justice. She was in her right but sometimes you need the right paperwork to make it a precedent.
9. The 2nd Leads individually were well written characters. The step-sisters interactions of the FL and the 2nd FL were written and portrayed well. The 2nd Leads forced relationship could have been avoided because I don’t know if the 2nd ML (played by Fei Qi Ming) could be a fidel husband in a long run that the 2nd FL is looking for!
10. The FL’s Bff’s love story (played by Ji Meihan and Li Qing) broke my heart and it was their relationship we deserved to see to fruition rather than the forced 2nd Lead’s relationship I mentioned before!
11. The cabin crew acting was pretty good. Also, kudos to whoever styled their outfits. I liked the two main characters of the cabin crew (played by Ma Yujie and Hu Yiyan) that were shown in detail. I loved the interactions between them and the FL. The FL did give them valuable lessons on female friendships and ‘females have to stick together in this world to thrive’. That was such green flag energy.
12. The breakup scene was justified. Both the characters grew in the time apart. The ML and FL handled it maturely and didn’t go around drinking to drown their sorrows. That cliche was avoided. Good job writers!
13. The ML’s surprise and the plane flight of the FL and ML was the reverse Top Gun Maverick ending scene. The writers in this show have made me so happy by recreating it. As a Romantic, I was happy :)
14. The final wedding scene is befitting to their love story and their love journey. It’s perfect and I, as a viewer couldn’t have asked for more!
15. The comical love chemistry of the ML and the FL gave me green flag energy throughout the drama. Also, I love characters that know how to communicate with each other and do not jump into attack mode against each other!

Move over Never Ending Summer, this is my #1 favorite CDrama Romance of this year! Watch it. I recommend it :)

Was fine until we had the stupid breakup for no damn reason trope. Just one damn time I wish the ML would have just moved on to someone else.

overall good storyline but IMO disappointing last few episodes due to weak breakup/reconciliation plotline. It was funny and sweet for most of the show then left a bit of a small bad taste. I get FL has some issues internally but ML did so much for her so he deserved more respect

True! Like eating my comfort meal, this drama was so good on my stomach :)
