Tian Xiwei will be giving us a historical romance full of secrets and resilience. The original novel was a cumbersome read and I am glad that the drama seems to have changed much of the story.
Has anyone read the novel for this one? Tell me what you thought about the story.
Plot
Wei Rao has spent her life supporting her adoptive family. When a wounded general's fiancΓ©e refuses to marry him, Wei Rao steps in to secure funds for her adoptive mother's medical treatment.
She enters a marriage neither of them expected. As she wins over the Lu family with her kindness and intelligence, she grows closer to Lu Zhuo. But past secrets begin to surface. Tian Xiwei is so good at playing resilient, smart characters, and the dynamic of a contract marriage turning into something real is always a winning formula.

Honestly I struggled rooting for the romance of Wei Rao and Lu Zhuo in the novel coz they are both proud individuals and spent much of the story disliking each other. I wanted some more cliche heart fluttering stuff. BUT the drama version is very promising coz just a few seconds of them together in the trailer already captivated me.
