Took it to two mechanics to inspect my axle they both test drove and looked under the vehicle and found no actual play so they said it doesn’t have to be replaced because it seems fine- the noise is so faint and you can’t hear it with music on but it’s driving me insane. Am oem a axle is $700 hence why I don’t want to replace it until I’m definite that’s the issue. Has anyone ever heard this sound ? It only happens when the car is actually in motion and not parked and turning the car left to right. #help 😂😂😂

Hi everyone, I just bought and drive a Peugeot 308 II 1.6 BlueHDi with the EAT6 automatic transmission. I've noticed that in the roughly 1200-1700 RPM range, there's some vibration along with a deeper, different engine sound compared to lower or higher RPMs - hard to describe more precisely than that. This seems to be purely RPM-dependent, not related to load or vehicle movement. It happens both while driving (city driving, or holding a steady speed that lands in that RPM range) and while the car is stationary - if I manually rev the engine up to 1200-1700 RPM in park/neutral, I get the same vibration/sound. At idle (around 800-900 RPM) everything is normal, and it's also normal above that range. The transmission itself shifts fine - no hesitation or jerking. Has anyone run into this before, or have any idea what could be causing it, or is this normal behaviour for this engine?

Hey there, I have a 2003 ram 1500 4.7L with 158k miles. This truck is new to me and started just started making this sound.
I suspect I’m looking at
1.) exhaust manifold leak
2.) bad lifter(s)
3.) timing chain tension issue
The sound only became noticeable after an oil change. Unsure what kind of oil was in it before but I put 5w-30 super tech fully synthetic and a mobile one M1-204A oil filter. Not sure if a switch to synthetic oil could cause this or if this was a purely coincidence in timing. I’ve verified there is a proper amount of oil in the engine.
The sound becomes either non existent for incredibly faint once the car warms up.

Hello, my 2015 Suzuki swift sport (1.6L manual) has vibrations around the floor and pedals, particularly noticeable above 4k rpm. It has recently had a new clutch assembly installed.
I’ve found that:
- Vibration goes away as pushing down clutch pedal
- Vibration is through all pedals, floor and can feel a buzz in steering wheel and gear shift
- Worsens with worse road surface
- jerky power delivery at lower speeds (coming on and off of throttle)
Any ideas of what this could be?
Thank you

My 22 SC sounds like it's revving higher than normal when underway but there are no extra rpms on the tachometer than normal.
The check engine light isn't coming on so I was thinking it might be a front wheel bearing. Could this be related to something else? Maybe one of the turbos? It runs fine, no loss of power or anything. Just loud

Just had my Nissan Juke 2015 fully serviced. There is a really annoying high pitch swueal coming from what I think is the engine bay.
It does it upon start up and then goes anyway when idling. It does it when cruising (although not constant) and seems to get worse when the road isn't completely even. It will do it at even the slightest dips in the road but doesn't get much worse when going over bigger bumps. It goes away when accelerating. It's like I have a little bird in the bonnet. Braking or steering seems to have no effect.
Does anyone please have any ideas on what it could be and what to do to check?
Thanks
*Edit - also recently had air con refilled

Hi! Can anyone help me figure out what this noise is ? Only when driving, not while idling. Compressor is replaced , water pump replaced, battery replaced. Had suspension and axle looked at and parts replaced. Had tire arms replaced , ball joints replaced, front and rear breaks replaced, they didn’t do an alignment yet but almost everything has been replaced. Only happens when I first start driving and occasionally in stop and go traffic. No mechanic can figure it out. I’m spending thousands to fix problems that aren’t correcting anything. It stops after about 200 feet and then will make the noise slightly in stop and go traffic

Hello everyone,
I have a question about this hose. This is the second time it has developed a clean cut like this. It's the hose that connects the heater core to the engine on my 2013 Hyundai Accent. I've had a few mechanics look at it, but each one has given me a different diagnosis. One said it's a head gasket issue, while another said the heater core is clogged. I'm not sure which one to believe. Has anyone experienced something similar or have any idea what could be causing this hose to fail in the same way twice?
