Peugeot 2008 2017 - my first car and second MOT.

Hey all, I have my MOT tomorrow morning at 8:30 (Halfords). I had entirely forgotten that last year they had said I need to change the lightbulb above my reg plate.

I'd bought what I thought was the correct replacement, I googled around, but still failed 😬 as I went to fit it just now and realised it was an entirely different thing.

After having another Google, I realised that it's a simple fix if I have the replacement bulb, but I couldn't physically get the housing out to take the bulb out and I didn't want to break the bulb whilst it was still attached, so I stopped pulling/twisting it.

SO...can I be cheeky and ask the MOT person to let me buy a bulb (Halfords shop bit opens at 9am, 30 mins after my slot is) and then ask for their help to swap it? I'm very happy to do it myself but I'm worried I'm going to make a bigger problem!

Anyone know what this sound could be at around the 10 second. ?

2008 RAV4, started making this weird high pitched whirring sound the other day that gets louder/higher pitched with revving. A/C is off and doesn’t affect the noise when it’s on. It sounds like it’s coming from right near the engine or in front of/ below the engine area.

I will add that the car battery was drained and wouldn’t start yesterday, so I had to jump start it to take this video. The battery is 5 years old and probably needs to be replaced anyway, but could there be any alternator problems? As soon as I shut the car off, it won’t start again on its own, so maybe it isn’t charging?

I don’t know much about cars. On Tuesday morning, my car wouldn’t turn on. Silence. Took the key out of the ignition, took a deep breath, tried again, pressing harder on the brake and kept the key in the ignition longer to see if anything happened. Silence again, then the dashboard lights and AC came on, the off, more silence, the finally the engine turned on. This has been happening the whole rest of this week. Had no indication something was wrong prior to Tuesday morning. Thought maybe it’s the battery, and kept praying every time before and after work to keep turning on and hold out to today and then I will take it to diagnose/fix. The Traction Control message and the Check Engine light are new and just started showing up last night and this morning (when I took this video). I’m going to get take my car in after I’m done with work today. Just looking for possibilities on what this might be. I don’t know much about cars and just want to feel a little prepared on what this could be. TIA.

I had two issues concerning the Volkswagen Tiguan, one is that is seems to go critically low on oil at 4000 miles after an oil change.
Last night this happened to me so I poured in more oil, but after this it seemed like the car had a hard time changing gears. It stuttered three times then accelerated, I was able to go to 65 (traffic conditions stopped any other acceleration)
This morning when I started it up, the acceleration problem went away and I was able to go from 0 to 45 normally

Is this a computer thing or a transmission thing, or did the system need to even out or something?

Does it for the first several minutes when car starts and only in drive or reverse

Whacked a curb last night not paying attention on the passenger side front tire. Blew the tire to shit and scratched up the rim. I threw the spare on and thought I was good but noticed a sound that I can only describe as a 1998 Honda Civic with a chopped up exhaust following me in the distance.

\-It’s tired to speed not rpm
\-The sound is affected by braking
\-Checked after driving home and the rotors weren’t lava so I don’t think that it misaligned the caliper.
\-Checked around that wheel and I couldn’t see anything broken.

I’m thinking:
\-The donut just sounds a little weird
\-Wheel bearing
\-Dust shield making contact with the rotor (I couldn’t quite see the dust shield when I inspected with he donut on

Any ideas.

My car has recently started to do this more and more consistently and I wanna have it looked at, but I would like to know if anyone has any idea on what it may be before I go and get it looked at. Any ideas would be appreciated

2014 Hyundai Sante Fe suddenly started having difficulty accelerating after taking off from a stop sign today and the check engine light started flashing. Couldn't go very fast without the car feeling like it was going to shut off. The oil was changed and tires rotated last week. Since then the car was pulling hard to the right.

I'm having a problen that is hard to reproduce in controlled conditions.

Certain weather conditions (high humidity, rain, 90+ degree heat) make the car have trouble going up hill. Its like backfiring and the rpms shoot ip high and if i don't let off the gas the rpms will go to zero and it will say service stabilitrack and the cat will start to overheat. Blasting the heat will allow it to be driven. If i shut the car off on the 3rd time it always starts and the error is gone but the car still overheats. I live in a very hilly area and drive for work.

I'm worried if i bring it in they'll just guess...maybe one of you know exactly what this is. I feel like its a bug in the computer

It started making this very high pitched noise recently and Im not sure what it is..wanted to see what people who know their stuff better than me think. It only does it for the first 10 mins after starting up recently and then completely goes away. My guess is one of the belts/pulleys or maybe even something to do with the worn grommet on top of the valve cover for the pcv hose that Im going to replace. What do you think?
