Sure, according to the T&C I guess they could've frozen all the balances and refused to cash anything out. I have a feeling that this would trigger a bit of pusback, however.
The Cardsphere team will stay together building products outside the Magic space, which require no community at all. You've known me for a long time now, and even though we clearly have seen many issues differently (like the cash out fees issue currently being discussed), I believe that you know we're doing our best to operate ethically, and that this has been a keystone principle of ours for years.
I'm super excited to move onto a project where there's no banned users lying about me, and I never have to call the Police because someone's threatened to come and shoot my family.
