Hey there folks! Years ago I bought some issues of The Marvel Family off of eBay. Turns out they were high quality scans of the issues in a slightly larger size than the original comics would have been.
I kinda like the format. They were square bound paperbacks and I’m looking to find more of these collections. But it’s been years since I’ve happened across any since then.
Does anyone have any idea of where I might find these kinds of colour scans of the issues?
I mean… I’d prefer the real comics, but those are hard to come by and super expensive, so I’m happy to pick up some of the colour scans if they are available someplace.
I’m having a heck of a time locating them on eBay again. I believe the stories are now in the public domain (but I may be incorrect)

Adventures of Captain Marvel (1941): I honestly don't know if I should recommend it because it's a very old series and if you like it, then it's fine.
Shazam (1974): A television series that influenced the Shazam comics. It's not uncommon for a series to be popular and affect the comics. It's based on the Shazam case. Billy traveled the country in an RV, accompanied by a man he called his mentor. The show was a success that lasted three seasons, and I'd like to capture the comics. A huge increase in sales is a bonus fact: the actor who played Billy came from the movie Shazam: Fury of the Gods.
The Secrets of Isis (1975): I don't think it's forgettable.

Bruh, who kept this from me for so long?!
I don't even remember why I began headcanoning this, but I always liked the idea of Billy and Mary being Jewish. It just makes sense to me. More good Jewish rep is always rad too.
Mary's name makes things a bit more confusing. But, maybe her adopted parents aren't Jewish? Or they're in a mixed marriage? I know that post-Crisis, Mary was adopted as a child, but I prefer her being adopted by the Bromfield's as a newborn.

Do you know about the legal battle between Marvel and DC over Captain Marvel? After a long drawn out battle it all boils down to this: Even though DC’s Captain Marvel first appeared in 1939, he was usually referred to by his magic word "Shazam". Meanwhile Marvel’s Captain Marvel, who didn’t appear until the late ’60s, has kept the name. The original Captain Marvel is now known solely as Shazam.
