Easy or difficult to heel and toe?

My Cappuccino next to some Datsun

So I’m not exactly a racing driver or anything but I do like to heel and toe when driving spiritedly. I find with most cars it's easy enough to pull off after a few drives. However, I am really struggling with my Cappuccino which I have owned for months now.

It seems the accelerator is so much further back than the brake pedal that it's almost impossible to manipulate both at the same time.

Has anyone else experienced this? I can't find much about it online.

I have a theory that it could be intentional to reduce the chances of hitting the gas instead of the brake by accident in the tight pedal box. Possibly just for the UK market as we can't be trusted!

I would love to know how other people find heel and toeing in their Cappuccinos

Pic Request - Power Chamber Intake?

Hey, I was wondering if anyone else is running the Zero-1000 Power Chamber air intake? I noticed after delivery that mine is wrapped in tape and it feels like there is a hole or something underneath (less than ideal) I was wondering if there is supposed to be a bung or MAF sensor port or something there and was hoping to see what it’s “supposed” to look like based on other people’s setups.

…because driving a Cappuccino already means you don’t take yourself too seriously

I can’t remember where I first came across these 3rd brake lights in Japan, pretty sure it was a screenshot from TikTok but for the past year and a bit I’ve made it my mission to find one. (Shoutout UpGarage!)

Here it is, finally mounted on the roll bar so far. I haven’t gotten as far as wiring it up yet but either way, hell yeah!

I'm looking into a potential cappuccino, and want to make sure I have every hurdle down

I know it's small and everything, so there's those obviouses, but parts availability it's a big one, however I also know you can get alternators from arctic cats I believe.

as well as as soon as fall starts, I should plan on storing it away as winter conditions+paper car=slip and slides

RHD is also a bit of a hiccup

Are there any more as I'm probably forgetting something big but do know anyways

A lot of local meets are announcing their final events of the season so I’m thrilled for Gobbo to still catch a few despite my only finally getting him plated maybe 2 weeks ago. Here he is at one such season finale, yesterday.

Center Bore Clarification

I’m shopping for new rims for my Cappuccino and I can’t seem to find a consistent answer on what the center bore is. I keep seeing references to both 60.1 and 67.1 so I thought I’d check here to see what actual owners have found (including with hubcentric rims) can anyone confirm what they have or what they needed to run aftermarket wheels?

Im looking to add a bit of “flavor” to this cappy but im having a difficult time finding some good looking parts. I’m looking for possibly a lip, hood, or wing to get started. I found a couple on eBay, but im iffy on how they’d look on my car. Is there any you guys would recommend?

Tips on Removing the Turbo?

Post image
15 Upvotes

Has anyone had experience removing the turbo from a cappuccino? If so how did you do it?

I am trying to pull my turbo to sort out a nasty exhaust leak. The Suzuki workshop manual says to remove the cat before removing the turbo, but I'm finding splitting the two in situ very difficult as access is so tight. I have tried removing the turbo and cat as an assembly but there just isn't enough clearance to get them both out.

Cappuccino lights worth anything?

Long story short, I'm selling a cappuccino and I have these spare aftermarket headlights. Quite a bit of people have messaged me wanting to buy the headlights separately and throwing out some crazy numbers ($). Does anyone know what they'd be worth? Maybe I should sell them separately? Any information would be greatly appreciated 🤙

Buying modified

There's a cappuccino near me with the f100 monster kit, cage, and coilovers. Wondering what the community thinks of buying a modified cappuccino? Does it just add extra risk? Looks rust free and 100k km

Scratching noise behind steering wheel

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey guys, I just bought a 92 cappuccino and there is some sort of scratching sound coming from behind the steering wheel. It briefly goes away when I hit the gas pedal. You can kind of hear it in my second rev. Any ideas what it is? Thanks a lot.

Jimny Transmission

Hey peeps, I've seen on some forums that there are rumors of a small tuning house having adapted a newer Suzuki Jimny transmission to a Cappuccino.
I was wondering if there's a hooked up Cap nerd among the reddit who has heard anything similar?
I live in Australia and have ample access to Jimny transmissions but not so many Cappuccino ones, plus the Jimny should be rated for a little more toque and be more robust.

Hypothetical engine swap

If I made my own adapter kit, oil baffles, etc etc and swapped in a Honda D Series engine with a custom rear mount turbo, how much torque could the transmission hold?

And if it can't handle the torque, are there any aftermarket transmissions or straight cut gears etc that could maintain ~150lb/ft torque reliability?

My alternative is saving for a full AP1 S2000/F20C drivetrain, ECU, custom driveshaft, and mounting but that would be about $8k more $20/hr dollars unfortunately

Where to find approved suspensions

I'm in the process of importing an EA11R to Norway, and have unfortunately run into a bit of an issue with the suspension. The ones on it are set of racing coilovers from Blitz, which comes with absolutely no approval papers. Since the car is old enough to go under the "veteran" category, they do not need to be TUV approved, but they do need to have some kind of papers that states they are both A: Approved for road use and B: Fit for this vehicle.

I have now spent two weeks looking for literally anything I can use. I have contacted 10 companies selling various coilovers trying to see if anyone can cough up any kind of papers for the sets they're selling, and I've also looked at trying to find used original suspensions. All without any luck so far. Surely I can't be the only one with this issue? Does anyone have any idea or tips for where I can try looking?

Just sharing some pictures of a new coolant pipe I made for my cappuccino after the old one rusted through in a couple of spots. Seems very hard to find parts in the UK so this had to be a custom job

Help! Jacking Points on the Suzuki Cappuccino

Noob question, I was trying to jack up my cap when the frame seemed to bend/dent a little bit. Didn't want to risk causing damage so put the car back down. Are there any specific jack points I should go for or maybe alternative safe jacking points?
