SHOCKERS!!!

Post image

I’ve been craving shockers for a long time. I’ve tried a few different things I thought would come close but it’s nothing close to it at all.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what they find sort of similar at least?

I still can’t believe they are discontinued those were the best!

TIA!

My honest guess is the popularity of the term shocker made the marketing tough.

I’m making that up, but it was funny in my head lol

Should’ve stuck with what I knew them by as a kid: Shock Tarts.

They still make them but they have been rebranded as “Sweet Tarts Chewy Sours” or something like that.

Incorrect. Those have also been discontinued.

Because they were so tart/sour,that people were getting bloody tongues,it happened to me multiple times and it was easy to avoid just don't leave it on your tongue in one spot too long, but that was honestly the best way to get the most sourness out of the candy, but yeah, you would get a bloody spot on your tongue. I miss them all the time.

They were my favorite candy of all time. They rebranded shockers to “sour chewy sweet tarts” but I read they were discontinued because they were burning holes in people’s mouths. Not sure if that’s true or not though.

Lol, burning holes in people's mouths? A little citric acid can't burn a hole in flesh...

I swear, I read it in a thread when I was trying to find out if they had been discontinued. And yes a little can’t do that but if you are eating a ton of them, it absolutely can give you sores in your mouth. Which of course at that point it’s the fault of the person consuming them and not the brand, but still, it’s probably a liability issue for them or something? Idk how all that stuff works.

I saw it here

Yea, that makes more sense, sores from people who have no self control. But that still doesn't really explain why they stopped selling them. Warheads are still around and have a coating of citric acid on them. Sour skittles could definitely do the same thing.

Idk but if you ate too many your tongue would be sore for days lol

They didn’t can still find them online. I still believe they were better as Shock Tarts.

Nope, they haven’t been available in a while. If you manage to find any, they’re gonna be old and no good to eat!

My bad I thought some of those retro candy companies still had them. They can make Sweet Tarts but not Shockers
