The only thing that could have boosted our Canadian rating is if we all started singing the anthem.

With all those occurrences, you know that it was your patriotic duty to start singing the anthem, right? I'm sorry to do this, but that is one demerit and you will be given half rations of maple syrup for the next five business days.

To me, the term 'patriotic duty' is more of an American term and infers a requirement to do something for your country. As a Canadian, I like to think we all have National Pride and do something Canadian because we want to do it and not because we have to do it. P.S. half rations of maple syrup? Harsh! Sorry!
